Chipboard
A versatile timber product, chipboard is made by gluing together wood particles under heat and pressure to create a rigid board with a relatively smooth surface. Chipboard is available in a number of densities from normal to high.
Lower density chipboard is often used for laminated work surfaces and fire doors while high-density, hardwearing chipboard is generally used as for kitchen unit carcases as well as flooring.
We stock a range of chipboard for all kinds of building work. From tough grade, moisture resistant flooring chipboard to standard grade board - ideal for constructing furniture shelving and worktops. In addition, we stock the Egger Protect tongue and groove laying system designed to reduce installation times and minimise squeaking floors.
